Any set from Eskuche is a treat. The Russian-born, Miami-based producer has a back catalog that’s so diverse he often plays shows entirely comprised of original productions. After his breakthrough EP Acid Jump with Hot Creations in 2014, he caught the ears of tastemakers such as Marco Carola, Jamie Jones, Maya Jane Coles, and many more. And if you hear him live, it’s not hard to see why. His hallmark clever kicks, heavy bass lines, and hard-hitting rhythmic drums make a perfect potion for all-night dancing.

If you’re new to Eskuche (or want to relive some magic), here are five of his sets that we can’t get enough of.

1. Space Miami

In December 2020, Eskuche opened for the legendary Green Velvet. By this point, the two were already well-acquainted collaborators. Eskuche released his single “Concentrate” and EP Bass Face on Velvet’s label. Green Velvet would later tap him to co-headline the label’s North American tour. Coming live from the highly revered Club Space in Miami, this set clocks in at just over two hours. Eskuche opens the floor with his silky smooth track “Dance With Me,” an unreleased collaboration with Legit Trip. Before long, the Russian producer dives headfirst into a slew of tech house bangers. One notable highlight is the funkadelic transition from Dennis Cruz & Eddy M.’s “Goldigger” into a Nelly edit of “Ride With Me.”

2. Paradise New York

After relocating to New York City, it didn’t take long for Eskuche to start racking up gigs alongside the best in the biz. In September 2018, he opened up The Brooklyn Mirage for a Paradise showcase. As Jamie Jones’ global event brand, Paradise events are notorious for throwing some of the best warehouse parties in the world. This set honestly showcases the breadth of Eskuche’s discography. Even as the night’s opener, his set is comprised of mostly original tracks. Plus, it highlight’s the DJ’s deeper, more minimal side.

3. La La Land LA

At the end of every summer, Green Velvet turns a corner of Los Angeles Chinatown into a playground for house music lovers. In 2019, Eskuche appeared at La La Land Los Angeles alongside Eats Everything, Gorgon City, Green Velvet, and more. His dreamy opening edit of “LOVE.” by Kendrick Lamar morphs into a ferociously gruff bassline. Other highlights include a supped-up version of “Indigo” by Sosa UK and Seb Zito’s remix of Infinity Ink’s “Rushing Back (feat. Yasmin).

4. OCHO

Maybe we’re a bit biased, but this set Eskuche did for us last year was a slam dunk. Hosted on OCHO--our marathon Sirius XM show of exclusive artist sets--it’s chock full of exciting new IDs. In a nod to Diplo’s Revolution–the host station of OCHO–Eskuche closes the set with a pumping edit of “Don’t Be Afraid,” the 2021 hit by Diplo, Damian Lazarus, and Jungle. But not before his collaborative bop with Mihalis Safras, “Feeling Good,” and an exciting remix of David Bowie’s classic “Let’s Dance.”

5. Egg London

Eskuche has the gift of keeping his music exciting, even away from the dancefloor. This set from 2019 comes straight from the Egg London podcast. Spearheaded by the warehouse club famous for all-night ragers, this podcast has hosted the likes of Korolova, Bob Sinclair, and on episode 189, Eskuche. With a more lo-fi tracklist, this set is the perfect antidote to that midday slump.
